Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Meet upon arrival and transfer to hotel (Room from 12 noon, but shall try to get room ASAP) day free at leisure. (No car)

AM: BANGALORE CITY: The capital of Karnataka state & India’s silicon valley is a former, British Garrison town with its wide avenues, classical bungalows and gothic churches. Visit Lalbagh Botanical Gardens: Nandi (Bull) temple was built by Kempe Gowda; Tipu’s palace and fort- it proves an interesting study of the military architecture of the 18th century.

PM: Free for shopping

After breakfast, drive to Mysore (130KMS/04HRS), on arrival check-in at hotel.

PM: Mysore: Visiting, Maharaja’s palace; the art gallery, housed in the Jagan Mohan Palace, has a collection of absorbing painting; Chamundi hill, is the Chamundeswari temple at an altitude of 3,489 FT;

EVE: BRINDAVAN GARDENS: 17 KMS from Mysore, the Brindavan Gardens have beem laid out by the side of the Krishnaraja Sagar Dam with beautiful lawns and beds of flowers, fragrant shrubs, cascades and fountains. Designed and built by DV. M.Visweswariati in 1932, the dam was built over three Rivers-Kaveri, Hemavath and Lakshmanathirtha

Drive Mysore/Ooty (159 KMS, 4HRS 30 MINS), driving through the jungles of BANDIPUR & MADUMALAI. If the pax wish, they can take an optional elephant ride in the Bandipur, (elephants subject to availability).

Continue drive to Ooty. On arrival check-in at hotel.

OOTY: Ooty is the leading hill resort of the South India. Situated in the heart of Nilgiris (Blue mountains), at a Height pf 2287 M. (7500 FT), to the northwest of Ooty are splendid downs resembling those of sussex. The terraced botanical gardens, whch are a landmark in Ooty, have many rare trees and flowering plants. Snooty Ooty lake is good place for the evenings. Ooty is also known for its tea and coffee plantations there are hundreds of tea estates in and around this hill resort.

Today drive from Ooty to Coimbatore 6HRS.

Afternoon arrival Bangalore and check in hotel.
